The Polaris Spotview 10 changes the Polaris Flash Meter into a 10 degree angle spot meter. So you can have an incident-light meter, a reflected-light meter and a spot meter in one.
Spot metering is useful to get an accurate reflected-light reading of a particular area of a subject, to get a reflected-light reading from a subject that is far away and to measure areas of different contrast on a subject.
