The Samsung i70 is a multifunctional digital camera that offers 7 multimedia functions, including a Camcorder, MP3 player, Portable Multimedia Player, Text viewer, Voice recorder and Portable disk, all inside a slim camera body. With Codec and SRS WOW HD, and world-famous 3D audio technology, the Samsung i70 enables the user to enjoy lively 3D audio quality when used as an MP3 player or PMP.
The powerful video capability of the Samsung i70 delivers a "camcorder like" experience. For a more enhanced movie shooting experience, the Samsung i70 uses MPEG-4(640 x 480 30fps), the high-compression high-quality video format, which can record for up to 3-4 times longer than the traditional video formats used in many other digital cameras.
The Samsung i70 provides an expressive, dynamic Graphic User Interface. With icons that move on the LCD according to the operation of the buttons, the user can understand the camera’s functions easily, and with fun.
With its Face Recognition AF & AE function, the Samsung i70 enables the user to take excellent portrait pictures easily. The function detects faces and automatically focuses on them; the brightness of the face is adjusted optimally for the most beautiful portrait pictures.
ISO 1000, the Samsung i70 produces vivid pictures even in low light. This setting lets you to take clear indoor pictures in poor light without camera shake or image blurring.
The ASR technology prevents the degradation of image clarity and colour common in flash photography. With ASR the effects of camera shake are reduced in lower light conditions. You can even take well exposed, sharper pictures in low light without using a flash at all, which guarantees brighter and more natural pictures.
The Red-eye Fix algorithm programmed into the camera automatically eliminates red eye in shoot and play modes, allowing you take a more natural portrait photo.
Wise Shot: This feature takes a shot using both ASR and Flash simultaneously. It then compares the results and gives you the better picture of the two. (i.e. the flash shot if it is better than the ASR shot, and vice versa)
The 14 Scene modes enable anyone to take the best pictures with ease, in different shooting environments - for example Portrait, Children, Cafe, Landscape, etc. The i70 provides 14 Scene modes: Night, Portrait, Children, Landscape, Macro, Text, Sunset, Dawn, Backlight, Fireworks, Beach and Snow, Self-Shot, Food, and Cafe.
With the i70’s Character input function, the user can take a picture and then leave a note on the picture in Korean, English, or special characters. The 9-key input method makes it easy to input character, just like on a mobile phone. You can edit pictures that have already been taken using letters of your own at the bottom of the picture; by using the Cartoon function, you can use different balloons to express yourself in places of your choice in the picture.
