Using our own triple-cam internal-focus system, we achieved a high zoom ratio of 10.7:1 with a focal length range from 28mm wide angle to 300mm telephoto. This means that you can capture widely varying subjects without having to change lenses, so you won't miss out when the decisive moment arrives. The lens is also very portable, making it ideal for travel photography. In fact, it covers a wide range of subject situations from landscape photography to snap photography on the street. This lens has a minimum focusing distance of 50cm at all focal lengths. Equipped with a macro mechanism for close-up photography at 300mm telephoto, with a reproduction ratio of 1:3.
The inner focus system allows the lens to accept a Petal-type hood.
The inner focus system allows the lens to be focused without having to turn the front of the lens, and facilitates the use of a circular polarizing filter. It also allows the lens to accept a Petal-type hood, with its superior light-blocking effect.
