Gitzo launches two new Aluminum tripods that feature the latest technologies and innovations of the top of the range 6X carbon fibre models for a faster, lighter and more stable support. A key innovation is the use of Gitzo latest aluminium tube 1.2mm wall thick, 30% lighter than its predecessor, with Anti Leg Rotation system (ALR) and brushed matt black finish for improved locking performance and minimised reflectivity. Thanks to ALR, Aluminum Systematic tripods are now as fast to operate as the 6X carbon fibre versions. The other key improvement is the introduction of the exclusive G-Lock system that allows for a stronger locking and increases rigidity by 20%. Besides Gitzo new aluminium tubing, Anti Leg Rotation and the G-Lock system, the new Aluminum tripods feature two convenient leg warmers, safe lock removable rubber feet to avoid accidental loss, the Ground Level Set and the new Power Disc. The Ground Level Set allows to remove the centre column and to secure the upper disc directly on the casting, saving weight, increasing stability and getting closer to the ground. Power Disc is a machined aluminium upper disc that improves the connection of the head by means of a locking screw and Gitzo Safe Lock techno polymer disc. The new Aluminum tripods are available in two heights: four section eye level height and three section standard height. All new Aluminum tripods come with a smart Gitzo display cleaner and a convenient anti dust bag for storage and packing.
